Description

Clicking this enables “cut mode” and the cursor becomes this icon, so ideally we want it to have a vertical dashed line to place it precisely where you want to cut objects. I think something similar to the current icon would do (scissors + a vertical dashed line)

the currently designed icon is not suitable for this because it doesn't clearly indicate where the clip would get cut (we can keep it for other things though). I propose we use something that looks like a cutter (see attachment) so it's clear where the clip would get cut (vertical line)

attaching the currently designed icon as well for reference

i thought about giving it a vertical line like you did, then I realised that vertical line might get in way of the actual track, makes it harder to see. at least that's the problem with other software I use.
so I just made a scissor, and I thought maybe you could make that "vertical line" automatically appear on top of the track whenever users use the cut mode

but if you think a vertical line won't be getting in people's way in zrythm, I can make one, no problem
